GOVERNMENT: Goodman has a Mayor and a council form of government that meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays at 7:00 pm at City Hall.
General sales tax is one cent on the dollar. City real estate/personal tax is $0.6861.cents per $100 assessed valuation, based on County Assessment.

GOODMAN RECREATION DEPARTMENT is active in promoting special events and sports for Goodman area Youth.
CITY SEWER AND WATER: New construction hookup is $525 for both; Deposits are: $50 for homeowner of an existing home, $100 for renters with sewer, $50 for renters without sewer. Trash is $9.50 per month and is billed monthly with the water/sewer bill.
BUILDING PERMITS: $10 per $50,000 construction value.
BUSINESS LICENSES: $5.00 per year.
LIQUOR LICENSE: $25 retail Monday-Saturday: $300 for Sunday sales after 1:00 pm.
DOG LICENSES: $2 male and spayed females, $4 non-spayed female. We must have proof of a rabies vaccination to issue a dog license. A rabies clinic is held every Spring.
