The 5th Annual Meeting of the Goodman Area Fire Protection District was held at the Fire Station on Saturday, September 18, 2010.
There were free hamburgers, hot dogs, chili, chips and soda.
The following items were reported:
A grant has been received a grant for a new fire truck.
The Department of Conservation has donated a truck that will be made into a tanker.
The Department of Conservation has loaned a 100kw generator for 4 years. After that time it will become the property of the Fire District. This generator will be permanently placed by the City well so that if the town is out of electricity, the well can have power for fire protection.
They are planning a second fire station to be built on Sorrell Road.
